There is a great deal of stress in our lives and in society.  Many times we cope with stress in healthy manners while other times have unhealthy responses to stress.  Knowledge is power and as we gain knowledge and insight into what stresses us then we can reduce the stress and be more effective employees, spouses, colleagues, neighbors, community members, and citizens.  Compassion Satisfaction is the zone that we strive to live in while recognizing that Compassion Fatigue and Burnout out zones are sometimes the zones we are stuck in.  This is the time to develop a useful and strategic self-care plan that can be used daily.  In addition, when understanding one's ACE (adverse childhood experience) score and resiliency index we are equipped with the knowledge to combat stress, burnout, and fatigue personally and professionally.
